(MATTOON, IL) December 17, 2024 – Emerald Acres Sports Connection is thrilled to announce that it will host the 3rd Annual March Mayhem basketball tournament, organized by the U.S. Junior Nationals (USJN). This prestigious event will take place on March 29-30, 2025, at Emerald Acres’ brand-new, state-of-the-art facility featuring eight hardwood courts.
The tournament is expected to attract teams from across the region for two days of high-energy competition. Games will kick off on Saturday at 8:00 AM, with 12U-17U teams competing in pool play. Sunday will feature additional games and playoff opportunities for qualifying teams, with the last games concluding by 4:00-5:00 PM.
Key Highlights of March Mayhem:
- Game Schedule: Teams will play 2-3 games on Saturday and 1-2 games on Sunday, with potential playoffs for qualifying teams.
- NCAA Compliance: While NCAA requirements are not needed for this event, all club coaches must be registered in the USJN system to access sideline credentials.
- National Recognition: The event will feature national evaluators and regional non-Division I colleges scouting talent.
- All-Star Recognition: Pool and event All-Stars will be announced on social media within 48 hours of the event’s conclusion.
